LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE PRODUCCION DE DIMETIL 2,6 - NAFTALENDICARBOXILATO, EL CUAL COMPRENDE ESTERIFICAR CON METANOL ACIDO 2,6 - NAFTALENDICARBOXILICO OBTENIDO MEDIANTE OXIDACION EN FASE LIQUIDA DE 2,6 DIALQUILNAFTALENO CON OXIGENO MOLECULAR, EN PRESENCIA DE UN CATALIZADOR DE OXIDACION Y, A CONTINUACION, PURIFICAR EL ESTER BRUTO ASI OBTENIDO, EN PRESENCIA DE UN DISOLVENTE HIDROCARBONADO AROMATICO. EN DICHO PROCEDIMIENTO, LAS IMPUREZAS CONTENIDAS EN EL PRODUCTO DE REACCION SE PUEDEN ELIMINAR DE FORMA EFECTIVA MEDIANTE PROCEDIMIENTOS SIMPLES.
