Abstract

El detector de burbujas por microondas, es un dispositivo cuyo objetivo es la de detectar burbujas de aire dentro de un flujo de pasta, éste flujo de pasta, es conducido a través de un tubo o manguera de teflón, utilizando microondas, ya que estas son absorbidas en mayor o menor grado por las pastas. En este dispositivo se utilizan un emisor y un receptor. La potencia que recibe el receptor es constante, mientras el flujo sea homogéneo. Cuando aparece una burbuja se produce una dispersión debido a que el aire no absorbe y la potencia recibida se verá alterada respecto al valor de fondo del flujo homogéneo, también habrá dispersión si aparecen grumos. La señal puede ser tratada para determinar el tamaño de las burbujas y los grumos.
