Abstract
Método de producción de productos basados en fermentación de grano del tipo en el que se mezcla el grano con un microorganismo que puede fermentar una fuente de carbono para producir productos basados en fermentación, comprendiendo la mejora usar un grano que comprende un almidón caracterizado por una temperatura de gelatinización inferior a aproximadamente 60ºC.
Claims (10)
1. Método de producción de productos basados en
fermentación de grano del tipo en el que se mezcla el grano con un
microorganismo que puede fermentar una fuente de carbono para
producir productos basados en fermentación, comprendiendo la mejora
usar un grano que comprende un almidón caracterizado por una
temperatura de gelatinización inferior a aproximadamente 60ºC.
2. Método según la reivindicación 1, en el que
el grano es de una planta de maíz cuyo endospermo es homocigótico
recesivo para el alelo seleccionado del grupo que consiste en
dulce2, dulce2-céreo, pálido-dulce2,
pálido-dulce2-céreo, extendedor de
amilosa-pálido-céreo, extendedor de
amilosa-dulce2, y combinaciones de dosificación de
los mismos.
3. Método según la reivindicación 1 ó 2, en el
que el grano es de una planta de maíz cérea cuyo endospermo es
homocigótico para el alelo dulce-2 recesivo.
4. Método según la reivindicación 1 ó 2, en el
que el grano es de una planta de maíz cérea cuyo endospermo es
heterocigótico para el alelo dulce-2 recesivo, una
dosis.
5. Método según la reivindicación 1 ó 2, en el
que el grano es de una planta de maíz cérea cuyo endospermo es
heterocigótico para el alelo dulce-2 recesivo, dos
dosis.
6. Método según una cualquiera de las
reivindicaciones 1-5, en el que el almidón se
caracteriza por una temperatura de gelatinización inferior a
aproximadamente 55ºC.
7. Método según la reivindicación 6, en el que
el almidón se caracteriza por una temperatura de
gelatinización inferior a aproximadamente 50ºC.
8. Método según una cualquiera de las
reivindicaciones 1-7, en el que el producto basado
en fermentación se selecciona del grupo que consiste en etanol,
ácido cítrico, butanol, hidrógeno, ácido láctico, vitaminas y
azúcares solubles.
9. Método según la reivindicación 8, en el que
el producto basado en fermentación es etanol.
10. Método según la reivindicación 8, en el que
el producto basado en fermentación es ácido cítrico.
