Abstract

Procedimiento para la desproporcionación selectiva de
compuestos aromáticos con conversión incrementada.
Se describe un proceso mejorado para la desproporcionación selectiva de tolueno. El proceso usa preferiblemente un catalizador de desproporcionación que comprende una zeolita de tipo pentasil tal como MFI que está enlazada con fosfato de aluminio. Llevar a cabo el proceso a una conversión de tolueno mayor que 30% en peso y a una razón de hidrógeno a hidrocarburo menor que 3,0, y especialmente una razón de 0,1 a 1,0, mejora el máximo rendimiento de paraxileno. El rejuvenecimiento periódico aumentando la razón de hidrógeno a hidrocarburo elimina algunos depósitos de carbono y restablece la actividad catalítica. Un gas diluyente inerte ayuda en la pre-coquificación selectiva del catalizador también.
