Abstract

1. Un dispositivo de manguito hendido que comprende una pluralidad de segmentos a manera de mordaza, caracterizado porque los segmentos son segmentos separados y cada segmento está espaciado respecto de un segmento adyacente por medio de un separador a manera de placa, elástico, separado, que tiene caras opuestas en aplicación con las caras opuestas de los segmentos adyacentes, las caras opuesta de cada separador son de construcción nervada, y cada separador está unido a sus segmentos asociados de manera que el separador se deforma elásticamente cuando se aplica una fuerza de cierre al manguito y ejerce una carga que tiende a devolver al mismo a su condición abierta cuando se retira la fuerza de cierre. 2. Un dispositivo, según la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque dichas caras opuestas de los separadores comprenden una disposición de nervios a manera de rejilla. 3. Un dispositivo, según la reivindicación 2, caracterizado porque los nervios están compuestos de grupos de nervios dirigidos radialmente al manguito y grupos de nervios dirigidos axialmente respecto del manguito. 4. Un dispositivo, según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 3, caracterizado porque en la condición cerrada del manguito, el borde en la condición cerrada del manguito, el borde radial interno de cada separador se encuentra en o junto a la periferia interna del manguito para impedir que entren virutas en las zonas entre segmentos adyacentes, y cada separador se extiende a lo largo de una parte sustancial de la profundidad radial de los segmentos. 5. Un dispositivo, según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4, caracterizado porque cada uno de dichos separadores tiene una parte de cabeza en su extremo radialmente externo por la que está fijado a los segmentos adyacentes, y la parte de cabeza está situada en rebajos recortados formados en los segmentos adyacentes. 6. Un dispositivo de manguito hendido que comprende una pluralidad de segmentos a manera de mordaza.
