Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently separate and recover vanadium by allowing vanadium to be adsorbed on a porous resin having amidoxime groups and a prescribed pore volume.
CONSTITUTION: A porous copolymer obtd. by polymerizing acrylonitrile and a polyvinyl monomer is reacted with hydroxylamine to obtain a porous resin having amidoxime groups and ≥0.25ml/g pore volume. A soln. contg. vanadium is passed through the resin to allow vanadium to be adsorbed. The resin holding the absorbed vanadium is treated with an eluent to elute the vanadium, whih is then recovered.
