Abstract
Método para recuperar ácido carboxílico de una mezcla acuosa que contiene carboxilato de magnesio, que incluye las fases de - poner la mezcla acuosa en contacto con un intercambiador iónico ácido, formando así una mezcla de ácido carboxílico y un intercambiador iónico cargado con iones de magnesio; y - poner el intercambiador iónico cargado con iones de magnesio en contacto con una solución de ácido clorhídrico, formando así una solución de cloruro de magnesio; y - descomponer térmicamente la solución de cloruro de magnesio a una temperatura de al menos 300 °C, formando así óxido de magnesio (MgO) y cloruro de hidrógeno (HCl).
