Abstract
Un método para aumentar la cantidad de glucosa y otros azúcares y péptidos liberados de una materia prima de fibra que comprende: (a) hacer reaccionar una materia prima de fibra con una mezcla de reactivos que contenga al menos una proteasa y al menos un elemento del grupo que consiste en celulasa y hemicelulasa, donde la proteasa se elige del grupo que consiste en proteasas aspárticas de mohos que son miembros de los géneros de los hongos Ascomicetes representados por el género Aspergillus y tiene una secuencia de aminoácidos al menos más de 70% idéntica a SEQ ID NO: 1 y se retiene una actividad de proteasa y es adicional a cualquier proteasa endógena con la celulasa o hemicelulasa; y (b) obtener un producto de reacción de dicha materia prima de fibra y dicha mezcla de reactivos que contiene glucosa, donde la cantidad de glucosa en el producto de reacción (medida como porcentaje de la masa de la materia prima de fibra) es mayor que la cantidad de glucosa obtenida de la reacción de la materia prima de fibra en las mismas condiciones que la reacción del paso (a), pero con al menos un elemento elegido del grupo que consiste en celulasa y hemicelulasa y excluida la proteasa.
