Abstract
Un envoltorio configurado para disponerlo alrededor de un artículo, en donde el envoltorio comprende un material de envoltura flexible, y una pluralidad de líneas de pliegue formadas por láser en el material de envoltura flexible, configurándose las líneas de pliegue formadas por láser de tal manera que cuando el material de envoltura flexible se pliega alrededor de las líneas de pliegue cuando el artículo se envuelve en el envoltorio, se forma, al menos en parte, un bolsillo adaptado al factor de forma para recibir el artículo, caracterizado por que el material presenta características de plegado deficientes por el hecho de que presenta un porcentaje de recuperación elástica superior al 50%.

Según esta prueba, se considera que un material presenta características de plegado deficientes si tiene un porcentaje de recuperación elástica superior al 50%, más preferiblemente del 75% y más preferentemente del 90% para las lecturas DM o DT.
A título ilustrativo y de nuevo sin pretender sugerir una limitación a este respecto, se presumirá aquí que esta etapa 12 de proporcionar un material de envoltura flexible comprende proporcionar material de envoltura de flujo. Se conocen varios materiales de envoltura de flujo en la técnica que pueden emplearse satisfactoriamente aquí. Según un planteamiento, pueden utilizarse materiales de envoltura de flujo con características de plegado deficientes, como el polipropileno orientado biaxialmente (“BOPP”) o una película de polietileno soplado. Los materiales adecuados también incluyen materiales de una capa así como materiales de varias capas (incluidos otros laminados distintos de Al/PET/LDPE). En este caso, el material de envoltura flexible se extraerá normalmente de un rollo de dicho material según sea necesario. Dado que estos materiales son bien conocidos en la técnica como lo es su manera habitual de empleo y uso, no se proporcionarán aquí más explicaciones al respecto.
Haciendo referencia de nuevo a la Fig. 1, la etapa 13 proporciona el uso de un láser para formar líneas de pliegue en el material de envoltura flexible. Haciendo referencia por un momento a la Fig. 8, esto puede comprender utilizar un único láser 80 para emitir un haz láser 81 que forma las líneas de pliegue en el material 60 de envoltura flexible. Tal como se muestra en la Fig. 9, esto comprende formar una muesca 90 en el material 60 de envoltura flexible como resultado de un efecto de ablación que evapora y funde el material dependiendo de la longitud de onda del láser, la potencia del láser y la duración de la exposición, entre otros factores. El uso de un láser en este ámbito de aplicación con el fin de separar completamente tales materiales de envoltura flexibles es bien conocido en la técnica. La presente etapa 13 puede realizarse controlando la potencia del haz láser y/o la duración de su aplicación para evitar traspasar completamente el material de envoltura flexible.
El láser individual 80 que se muestra en la Fig. 8 puede servir para formar la pluralidad de estas líneas de pliegue, si se desea. En algunos ámbitos de aplicación, sin embargo, y como se muestra en la Fig. 10, puede ser deseable emplear uno
