Abstract
Procedimiento de descomposición térmica de hidrocarburos en hidrocarburos menos saturados, especialmente acetileno y olefinas, caracterizado por realizar la combustión de metano o de gas rico en metano, tal como el gas natural, con una cantidad de oxígeno inferior a la que produce una combustión completa del hidrocarburo de partida, durante un período de 0,001 a 0,005 de segundo, en mezclar luego los gases calientes de combustión parcial, que contienen acetileno, con un hidrocarburo líquido, previamente vaporizado y precalentado, que contenga de 3 a 7 átomos de carbono por molécula, inyectando estos vapores de hidrocarburo en una serie de chorros por numerosas aberturas, cada una de las cuales tiene un eje que forma un ángulo de 10 a 30º con respecto a la dirección radial de la cámara de pirolisis; estos chorros son perpendiculares a la dirección de movimiento de los gases de combustión parcial; luego, después de un tiempo suficiente para la pirolisis de este hidrocarburo en etileno, el enfriar los gases resultantes de estos dos tratamientos térmicos sucesivos, por inyección transversal de un fluido frío en estos gases.
