Abstract

Una resina de poliéster modificado, obtenida mediante la reacción de componentes que comprenden: a) >= 10% en peso de al menos un ácido difuncional seleccionado del grupo que consiste en ácido tereftálico, derivado de ácido tereftálico y mezclas de los mismos; b) 0 a 30% en peso de ácidos difuncionales distintos de a); c) >= 10% en peso de al menos un alcohol difuncional que contiene al menos un átomo de carbono (C') trisustituido y otro átomo de hidrógeno(`alcohol difuncional asimétrico'); d) 0 a 30% en peso de al menos un alcohol difuncional distinto de c); e) 8 a 25% en peso de al menos un ácido graso y/o derivado de ácido graso; f) 0,1 a 10% en peso de al menos un poliol y/o un poliácido y/o su correspondiente anhídrido, que tiene una funcionalidad >= 3; g) 0 a 20% en peso de al menos un componente monofuncional seleccionado del grupo que consiste en ácido, epoxi, alcohol y mezclas de los mismos, en donde la resina de poliéster modificado tiene: - un peso molecular medio ponderal, según se determina utilizando cromatografía de permeación en gel utilizando poliestireno como patrones y THF como disolvente de 1.000 a 100.000 g/mol; y - una temperatura de transición vítrea, según se determina a través de calorimetría diferencial de barrido a una velocidad de calentamiento de 5 ºC/min, de al menos -50 y a lo sumo de 100 ºC.
