Abstract
Una planta, que es resistente a un patógeno, en donde la planta y el patógeno se seleccionan de Bremia lactucae en lechuga, Peronospora farinosa en espinaca, Pseudoperonospora cubensis en miembros de la familia de las cucurbitáceas, Pseudoperonospora cubensis en pepino, Peronospora destructor en cebolla, Hyaloperonospora parasitica en col, Plasmopara viticola en vid, Phytophthora infestans en tomate y patata, y Phytophthora sojae en soja; dicha planta tiene un nivel incrementado de homoserina in planta comparada con dicha planta que no es resistente a dicho patógeno; y dicha planta tiene una mutación en su gen homoserina kinasa que disminuye la actividad homoserina kinasa de la enzima codificada.
