Abstract

Procedimiento de polimerización en el que monómeros que contienen vinilo se polimerizan en una mezcla de reacción acuosa, al menos un producto de la polimerización se separa de la mezcla de reacción, y la mezcla de reacción se purifica mediante filtración o microfiltración con un medio de filtro que tiene un límite de separación de 10 a 1000 kDalton tras separar el al menos un producto de la polimerización y se usa de nuevo, caracterizado por que la polimerización se lleva a cabo de forma discontinua.

La polimerización de cloruro de vinilo se llevó a cabo a una temperatura de 53ºC en una mezcla de reacción acuosa 5 en un reactor, usando el procedimiento de la invención dibujado en la Figura 3. Tras desgasificar, la mezcla de reacción producida se deshidrató mecánicamente en una centrifugadora, y se separó un producto de la polimerización. La mezcla de reacción que sale de la centrifugadora se filtró sobre un módulo de placas convencional. El sólido filtrado se desechó, y la mezcla de reacción filtrada se devolvió al reactor y se usó nuevamente para la polimerización posterior. El procedimiento se repitió varias veces para este tipo de PVC. La 10 calidad de la mezcla de reacción filtrada (Tabla 9) y la calidad del producto (Tabla 10) cambiaron solo muy ligeramente como resultado de usar la mezcla de reacción varias veces; en particular, las características del polvo del producto no fueron objeto de ningún cambio significativo.
