Abstract
Un procedimiento de producción de gránulos de nitrato de amonio de calidad de explosivo adecuados para uso en una composición explosiva de ANFO, en la que los gránulos contienen 99-100 % de nitrato de amonio, son esféricos en forma y tienen un tamaño promedio en el rango 1,5 mm a 3,0 mm e incluyen microhuecos que tienen un diámetro de 10 a 100 micrómetros y los gránulos tienen una absorción de aceite de 6 % a 15 % en peso de aceite combustible, el procedimiento incluye: a) proporcionar una masa fundida de nitrato de amonio que contiene 93 % a 95 % en peso de nitrato de amonio concentrado y 300 a 600 ppm de sal de modificador de hábito de cristal de sulfonato de alquil naftaleno sobre una base activa; y b) pulverizar la masa fundida de nitrato de amonio, a través de por lo menos una boquilla, en un primer lecho fluidizado que se suministra con aire que se ha acondicionado a una humedad relativa menor de 30 % a 40 ºC y se calienta a una temperatura de 95 ºC a 105 ºC para formar gránulos de nitrato de amonio, en los que partículas de siembra de nitrato de amonio se introducen al lecho fluidizado en la presencia de la masa fundida de nitrato de amonio; y c) pasar los gránulos formados en el primer lecho fluidizado a un segundo lecho fluidizado y enfriar los gránulos de nitrato de amonio a una temperatura de 60 ºC a 80 ºC en el segundo lecho fluidizado.
