Abstract

Procedimiento para producir metal o aleaciones metálicas en hornos eléctricos de fusión por reducción con agentes reductores carbonosos de por lo menos un óxido metálico, el cual es parcialmente transformado o completamente transformado durante la reducción, en oxicarburos, carburos y/o subóxidos volátiles, caracterizado porque la carga del horno comprende píldoras constituidas por dos capas, por lo menos, consistiendo total o parcialmente el núcleo de cada píldora en el óxido u óxidos metálicos, formadores de subóxido, mientras que la capa exterior o capas consisten total o parcialmente en agentes reductores carbonosos.
