Improvements introduced in the manufacture of a stabilizing composition of polyvinyl chloride resins able to improve the resistance of the resins to deterioration when heated at 191ºC, which comprises a mixture of magnesium and zinc salts of acids selected from the group formed by the acid benzoic acid and fatty acids derived from edible oils and fats, and a non-toxic polyvalent alcohol, in the proportions of from about 25 to about 40 parts by weight of zinc salt, from about 25 to about 40 parts by weight of magnesium salt and about 20 to about 50 parts by weight of polyvalent alcohol.
