Abstract

A quick attachment for the detachable attachment of an electrical line protection circuit breaker (10) on a supporting rail (16) comprises a stamped part (17) which has a U-shaped cross-section and is guided as a slide in the housing of the line protection circuit breaker. Provided on its limb ends are bent edges (21, 22) which engage in grooves (38, 39) on the housing of the line protection circuit breaker (10) and thus guide the slide. A tab (13) is integrally formed on the slide (17), which tab (13), with a fixed tab (12) which is integrally formed on the housing, is used for holding the line protection circuit breaker on the cap-profiled supporting rail, in a normal manner. The quick attachment comprises a helical compression spring (36) which, when it is in the state mounted on the switch, is supported on the one hand on the slide (17) and on the other hand on a housing wall (44) so that the slide (17) is pressed inwards, in the assembled state, against the cap-profiled rail. In order to simplify production and in order to achieve fully-automated manufacture, two lugs (17, 29) are provided on the slide, between which lugs the helical compression spring (36) is fixed and guided. In order better to insert the slide into the grooves on the housing, the bent edges on the limb ends are bent in the same direction and a tongue (32) is provided for fixing the slide on the housing, which tongue (32) is supported against a step (43) on the housing, as a result of which the movement of the slide (17) inwards is bounded because of the helical compression spring (36).
