Abstract

A device for dispensing measured quantities of ice cream as claimed in Specification 976,068 wherein the abutment means comprises a first abutment 15 extending from the delivery piston 7 into the path of the rod 14 of the portioning piston 13 and arranged for selective co-operation with a multi-stepped abutment member 8 movable with the rod. The abutment member 8 is formed by cutting flats 141, 142, 143, 144 on an extension of the rod 14 and the abutment 15 is formed by a pin 15. In order to vary the amount of ice cream dispensed, a stop pin 16 is withdrawn (Fig. 6) and the delivery piston raised so as to enable the pin 15 to be withdrawn the piston 13 is then rotated in order to bring a different abutment on the member 8 into the path of the pin 15.
