Abstract
Compuestos que contienen el catión N-m-metoxi-bencil-N,N-dimetil-N-etilamonio o el catión N-m-metoxi-bencil-N,N-dimetil-N-2-hidroxictilamonio poseen ventajas inesperadas sobre la droga citada en el tratamiento de la arritmia. Estos compuestos no sólo poseen propiedades anti-arrítmicas comparables a las del bretylium, sino que poseen además una acción del bloqueo simpática apreciablemente menor, haciendo así posible el tratamiento de las alteraciones cardíacas con poco o ningún efecto adverso sobre la presión sanguínea.
