Abstract

Improvements in apparatus for molding elastomeric paste, of the type of apparatus comprising, a mold having at least one cavity for shaping and curing elastomeric paste in the shape of the cavity, an injection apparatus for elastomeric paste having a primary chamber where it houses elastomeric paste that can be pressurized to transfer from it; an adapter device to define a secondary chamber in communication with the primary chamber, a perforated end plate carried by the adapter device maintaining a confrontational relationship with the mold, an opening in the end plate intercommunicating the secondary chamber with the mold chamber, being arranged the end plate at least in part in the secondary chamber, and being able to move axially relative thereto, to reduce the axial extension of the chamber, the end plate having an exposed end face engageable with the mold and forming a dividing line with the same, and means to move the injection apparatus and the mold, one relative to the other, to effect the coupling of the mold with the end plate and therefore move the latter towards the interior of the secondary chamber in order to reduce the axial extension of the latter and expel elastomer paste through the end plate into the cavity mold, characterized in that valve means are arranged in the apparatus that interpose between the primary and secondary chambers to allow elastomer paste to flow unidirectionally from the primary chamber to the secondary chamber, these valve means cooperating with the end plate during displacement of the latter into the interior and avoiding the back flow of elastomer paste into the primary chamber from the secondary chamber, despite the appearance of any pressure drop in the primary chamber (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
