Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de 4,4''-isopropiliden-bis(2,6-dibromofenol) puro por reacción de 4,4''-isopropiliden-difenol con un agente de bromación, en presencia de agua y de un líquido orgánico inerte, caracterizado porque como agente de bromación se utiliza bromuro de hidrógeno o bromuro de hidrógeno que contiene hasta aproximadamente 1 mol de bromo libre por cada mol de bromuro de hidrógeno, en mezcla con peróxido de hidrógeno.
