Abstract

In this automatic iron, the water tank (6) is connected releasably to the appliance and can easily be separated from the automatic iron for refilling. In the installed state, the storage spaces (13, 14) of the water tank (6) engage round the pedestal-like iron-handle mounting (15). The water tank (6) is retained on the iron-handle mounting (15) by means of a clamping spring (16) and on the iron handle (4) by means of a fastening strap (25). Water is supplied from the water tank (6) to the evaporation chamber (3) via a drip-feed valve (7). The drip-feed valve (7) and the valve control are arranged in the water tank (6).
