Abstract
Procedimiento de fabricación de un cilindro de trabajo para un laminador en caliente de metales no férreos, cuyo laminador comprende una pluralidad de etapas de cilindros de laminación, dispuestas sucesivamente y que incluyen una etapa de cilindros de laminación parcial, una etapa de cilindros de laminación intermedia y una etapa de cilindros de laminación de acabado, caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de proporcionar una barra de acero hueca forjada a partir de una aleación de acero al cromo que tiene un contenido en cromo de 4 a 6% aproximadamente, maquinar la barra hueca forjada para formar un cilindro de trabajo que tiene una configuración predeterminada y tratar térmicamente el cilindro de trabajo para formar una cascarilla superficial de óxido densa, tenazmente adherida, sobre las superficies de trabajo del cilindro, cuya cascarilla sirve, durante la práctica, para mejorar la vía media del cilindro
