Abstract
Procédé et dispositif pour laminer à chaud en continu des barres de cuivre et d'aluminium fondu. Chaque étage d'un laminoir comporte plusieurs cylindres de travail ayant une dureté et une ténacité prédéterminées selon leur rôle dans le laminoir afin d'améliorer l'uniformité de la durée de vie utile des cylindres des divers étages. L'acier utilisé pour fabriquer les cylindres est un alliage d'acier au chrome-molybdène ayant une teneur en chrome de 4 à 6 %. Un traitement à chaud assure le dépôt, sur les surfaces de travail des cylindres, d'une couche d'oxyde dense adhérente, afin de les protéger des hautes températures et des hautes pressions mises en jeu pendant le laminage.
