Abstract

Un aparato para fabricar un objeto que consiste total o parcialmente en un material termoplástico espumado, una mezcla de un material termoplástico esponjable y un agente de esponjamiento en un dispositivo de mezclado y compresión que es llevada a una temperatura y una presión a las cuales la mezcla es líquida, después de lo cual la mezcla es llevada subsiguientemente dentro de un molde a través de una abertura de descarga y de una abertura de alimentación, en cuyo molde reina una presión más baja y cuya cavidad tiene una forma que se adapta a la del objeto que ha de ser fabricado, cuyo aparato comprende un dispositivo de mezclado y compresión pera mezclar y para llevar la mezcla, consistente en un material termoplástico esponjable o espumable y un agente de esponjamiento, a una temperatura y una presión tales que dicha mezcla es líquida, cuyo dispositivo de mezclado y compresión puede comunicar con al menos una abertura de alimentación de un molde a través de una abertura de descarga, caracterizado porque el aparato comprende medios de transporte para hacer pasar al menos un molde y al menos un miembro contiguo a lo largo de la abertura de descarga con una superficie en la cual está (o están) la abertura (o las aberturas) de alimentación del molde situadas en forma de corte, estando dispuesta una placa en el lado de la abertura de descarga, cuya placa, después del paso dé la abertura de descarga, cierra la abertura (o las aberturas) de alimentación.
