Abstract

Un procedimiento para desparafinar un aceite lubricante parafinoso por enfriamiento de dicho aceite en presencia de un disolvente desparafinador hasta una temperatura eficaz para separar la parafina del mismo por filtración, donde se enfría el aceite, opcionalmente diluido con una pequeña proporción del disolvente desparafinador, y se agrega incrementalmente disolvente desparafinador al aceite durante el enfriamiento, cuyo procedimiento se caracteriza por introducir el aceite a una temperatura superior a su punto de turbidez en una zona de enfriamiento, enfriar y agitar dicho aceite en el zona de enfriamiento hasta una temperatura inferior al punto de turbidez del aceite antes de la adición incremental de disolvente desparafinador, introducir incrementalmente por lo menos la mayor proporción de dicho disolvente desparafinador en mezcla con el aceite después de que la temperatura del aceite está por debajo del punto de turbidez, continuar enfriando la mezcla resultante de aceite y disolventeen condiciones de agitación considerablemente reducida hasta la temperatura de desparafinado, separar por filtración la parafina así precipitada del aceite desparafinado resultante de dicha mezcla y recuperar de la misma el aceite con un contenido reducido en parafina.
