Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de polímeros a base de hidrocarburos resistentes a la inflamación y exentos de halógeno, que tienen un nivel eficaz de resistencia a la inflamación y a la combustión, un elevado nivel de integridad física a elevadas temperaturas entre otras ventajas y características mejoradas que, por tanto, es útil como aislamiento en conductores eléctricos, y que comprende esencialmente las siguientes partes aproximadas relativas, en peso, de: polímero de hidrocarburo 100, goma de organopolisiloxano 1-20, compuestos de plomo 2-15, y otros ingredientes opcionales; cuyo procedimiento se caracteriza porque comprende: a) someter a reacción de condensación gomas u organopolisiloxanos con un polímero de elevado peso molecular de un estado elástico, para obtener una goma o elastómero de organopolisiloxano; b) combinar la goma de organopolisiloxano procedente de la etapa anterior, con el compuesto de plomo y, opcionalmente, con los ingredientes adicionales, mediante un métodoo aparato de mezcla como un mezclador banbuy o un molino de goma o rodillos; c) combinar adecuadamente la composición procedente de la etapa anterior con la composición polímera a base de hidrocarburos; d) si se desea, en el momento adecuado, someter a reacción de entrecruzamiento los polímeros de hidrocarburo, para curarlos.
