Abstract

Un procedimiento para purificar heparina, particularmente para eliminar su contenido de sales minerales, incluyendo oxalatos, que comprende añadir a una disolución acuosa de dicha heparina en una forma soluble una cantidad de una agente precipitante no iónico, tal como alcohol, ajustada de modo que cause la precipitación selectiva de la heparina o las sales de heparina, mientras las sales minerales quedan en la disolución acuosa, recuperar la heparina, y, si se precisa, repetir esta separación selectiva sobre una nueva disolución acuosa de la heparina así recuperada, hasta que la concentración de oxalato en la heparina final es de menos de 70 ppm, preferiblemente menos de 30ppm, y preferiblemente incluso menos de 20 ppm.
