Abstract
Un aparato para proteger una corriente de metal en estado de fusión contra la atmósfera circundante, cuando la corriente de metal se está vertiendo desde una tobera en un receptor, caracterizada por una fuente de suministro de gas inerte destinada a proporcionar una zona de baja turbulencia del gas inerte en torno a la salida de la tobera, siendo el diámetro inicial de la zona, en la parte de la fuente de gas, de por lo menos un tercio de la longitud de la corriente de metal vertida entre la tobera y el receptor.
