Abstract

Materials are surfaced under heat and pressure, using a machine with a number of successive pressure rollers and intermediate IR surface heaters. The pressure rollers are enclosed in a gas-tight chamber and hot air is blown through. The device gives simple, low-cost, versatile heating. Uniform heating is obtd. even if e.g., one IR heater fails. No overheating arises.
