Abstract
UnN oxigenador sanguíneo incluye un termointercambiador en el que el fluido termointercambiador fluye por un tubo de aluminio que tiene una aleta helicoidal hueca sustancialmente continua, integral a lo largo de su extensión que facilita una acanaladura helicoidal sustancialmente continua. El tubo se coloca dentro de una cámara conectada en un circuito sanguíneo extracorporal de tal forma que la sangre se haga fluir por la superficie exterior anodizada del tubo con aleta helicoidal. En la realización preferida, la sangre fluye por una pluralidad de recorridos de flujo continuos y de área limitada que ofrecen a la sangre impedancia de flujo sustancialmente uniforme, facilitándose dichos recorridos de flujo limitados al formar en configuración helicoidal el tubo con aleta helicoidal que se monta entre una coluna cilíndrica interior y una envuelta cilíndrica exterior de tal forma que la sangre se haga luir por los diversos recorridos del área de sección transversal limitada facilitados por laacanaladura helicoidal. En una realización , el tubo termointercambiador y la cámara de sangre se forman como una unidad independiente que se adapta para usarse en la posición deseada de un circuito sanguíneo extracorporal. En las otras realizaciones. El termointercambiador se forma integralmente con un oxigenador sanguíneo en el que la sangre absorbe oxígeno y se libera dióxido de carbono de la misma.
