Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de una solución estabilizada de un agente floculante, que comprende seleccionar una solución acuosa de un agente floculante catiónico que está sustancialmente exenta de sólidos inorgánicos en suspensión, añadir a dicha solución seleccionada una cantidad de agua que es suficiente para producir una solución acuosa que contiene menos de 10 gramos por litro de dicho agente floculante, seleccionar un ácido libre que está sustancialmente exento de sólidos inorgánicos en suspensión y mezclar una cantidad del ácido libre con la solución acuosa del agente floculante en cantidad suficiente para cambiar el pH de la solución acuosa del agente floculante a un valor dentro del intervalo de 1 a 5,5 y almacenar la solución acuosa acidificada del agente floculante antes de su empleo.
