Abstract
Un método mejorado para fabricar un limitador de voltaje, especialmente apropiado para usarse en pararrayos sin aberturas, caracterizado por las operaciones de preparar una composición que contiene como su ingrediente primordial ZnO y que tiene entre 0,75 y 5,25% molar de Bi2O3, de 0,25 a 5,25% molar de Co3O4, entre 0,25 y 1,75% molar de MnO2 , entre 0,25 y 1,75% molar de Sb2O3 y entre 0,125 y 0,875 molar de SiO2, conformar la composición hasta la forma deseada y sinterizar la composición conformada durante un periodo predeterminado de tiempo a una temperatura predeterminada de tal manera que la composición muestre (a) una micro-estructura que incluye una disposición de granos de ZnO que están separados uno del otro por una fase inter-granular formada de los ingredientes restantes de la composición, (b) un exponente no lineal alfa, cuando menos igual a aproximadamente 35 dentro de una gama de corrientes de entre un miliamper y 500 amperes, y © una capacidad de absorción de energía cuando menos igual a aproximadamente 50 julios/cm3
