Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un procedimiento para producir benceno de alta pureza, que comprende una primera etapa en la que una fracción hidrocarburada que contiene hidrocarburos aromáticos se somete a una hidrodesalcohilación y el producto resultante se estabiliza después por separación de una fracción ligera que tiene un punto de ebullición inferior al del benceno, una segunda etapa en la que el producto estabilizado se somete a destilación para obtener un benceno sustancialmente puro que contiene una cantidad muy pequeña de olefinas y tiofenos, y una tercera etapa en la que el benceno sustancialmente puro se trata con un material activo a fin de obtener un benceno puro.
