Abstract

Sodium percarbonate is stabilized by treatment with an aqueous solution of an alkaline earth metal salt, thus forming a thin layer of an alkaline earth metal carbonate on the surface. The treated sodium percarbonate is rendered less hygroscopic, but its solubility in water and specific oxygen content are maintained, in comparison with untreated sodium percarbonate.
