Abstract

Procedimiento para la sintetización de la cadena lateral hidroxiacetilo de los esteroides del tipo pregnano, de fórmula: **(Fórmula)** donde n es el número 1 o 2, R1 significa un átomo de hidrógeno, metilo, un hidroximetilo libre, esterificado o eterado, un formilo libre o funcionalmente modificado o un carboxilo libre o esterificado y R2 significa un resto hidrocarburo alifático inferior, en caso dado halogenado, con 1-3 átomos de carbono, un hidroximetilo libre, esterificado o eterado, un formilo libre o funcionalmente modificado o un carboxilo libre o esterificado, y donde en una o varias de las posiciones 1-16 pueden estar presentes enlaces dobles, átomos de halógeno, restos de alquilo inferior, puentes metileno, grupos oxo y/o grupos oxido libres o funcionalmente modificados, así como un enlace C-C sencillo 3Beta,5-transnular de un cicloesteróide, individualmente o en combinaciones convenientes, caracterizado porque se trata de un carbaldehido de esteroide de fórmula general: St(H) - CH = O; donde St tiene el significado anteriormente indicado y donde los grupos oxo en caso dado presentes en el resto St se encuentran en forma protegida consecutivamente con un S-óxido de formaldehido- dimetil-mercaptal en forma de una sal de metal alcalino del mismo, y con un agente hidrolizante fuertemente ácido.
