Abstract
Aparato para la detección automática de fallos de la fibra en una operación de estirado de fibra de vidrio y para la iniciación de una serie de operaciones correctoras en caso de tal fallo. Se consigue la detección automática percibiendo para ello electrónicamente la presencia o ausencia de la fibra de vidrio que está siendo estirada. La serie de operaciones iniciadas en respuesta a la detección incluye; una señal de alarma inicial; un retardo de tiempo y, en caso de que un operario humano no corrija la situación durante el periodo de retardo, la iniciación automática de un "modo de fallo" de funcionamiento. La iniciación del modo para fallo disminuye la temperatura del casquillo, retira la boquilla de suministro de aire a granel y hace que cese el suministro de aire a granel, abre un suministro de aire de limpieza para dirigir aire de limpieza y para dirigir aire de limpieza a través y contra la placa de orificios del casquillo y detiene la pinza de estirar.
