Abstract
Un método de determinar la estructura interna de un cuerpo por medio de unos haces acústicos que se extienden entre unos elementos de transmisión y de recepción acústica, separados, de un convertidor acústico que al menos en parte rodea al cuerpo, incidiendo en los elementos de recepción acústica unos haces acústicos que han pasado a través del cuerpo en distintas direcciones, usándose los tiempos de tránsito de estos haces acústicos para determinar el índice de refracción acústica en puntos individuales de una matriz de puntos asociada al cuerpo, caracterizado dicho método por el hecho de que, a partir de una distribución de los índices de refracción acústica, preseleccionada en los puntos de la matriz de puntos y que se aproxima a la estructura del cuerpo, teniendo en cuenta la geometría del convertidor acústico, se calcula el trayecto de recorrido a través del cuerpo por lo menos una vez para cada haz acústico, calculándose a partir de éste el tiempo de tránsito del haz, usándose el tiempo de tránsito medido y el calculado de un haz acústico para determinar datos de corrección para la corrección paso a paso o por escalones de los índices de refracción acústica en los puntos de la matriz de puntos.
