Abstract

Un método para preparar una composición polímera que contiene halógeno, que presenta una resistencia en estado fundido y una aptitud para el tratamiento mejoradas, estando caracterizado dicho método por la siguiente secuencia de etapas: a) polimerizar una cantidad principal de un hidrocarburo etilénicamente insaturado que contiene halógeno, para obtener un polímero sólido adecuado para extrusión; b) combinar dicho polímero sólido con una mezcla, c) mezclar la mezcla resultante a una temperatura igual o superior al punto de reblandecimiento de dicho polímero sólido para formar una composición homogénea, y d) extruir la composición resultante para formar un artículo configurado.
