Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de sulfato de calcio anhidrita en el que se recristaliza sulfato de calcio dihidratado a temperatura elevada utilizando ácido sulfúrico concentrado, caracterizado porque la recristalización se realiza utilizando ácido sulfúrico a una concentración de H2SO4 de 40-65% en peso, calculada con relación a la cantidad de fase líquida en la mezcla de recristalización, y se aplican una temperatura comprendida entre-40 y 90°C y un tiempo de permanencia de 5-30 minutos para la preparación de sulfato de calcio anhidrita con un tamaño medio de partícula de 0,5-3 micras, y se aplican una temperatura comprendida entre 20 y 45ºC y un tiempo de permanencia de 30 minutos a 3 horas para la preparación de sulfato de calcio anhidrita con un tamaño medio de partícula de 10 a 20 micras.
