SE OBTIENE POR LA REACCION A TEMPERATURA DE 0 A 10C EN PRESENCIA DE N-METILPIRROLIDONA, DE UNA MACROLIDA POLIENICA CONTENIENDO AL MENOS UN GRUPO AMINO LIBRE Y OTRO CARBOXILO LIBRE, CON UNA CARBODIIMIDA DE FORMULA (I), EN QUE R1, Y R2 SON UN GRUPO ALCOHILO SUSTITUIDO O NO, ARALCOHILO, ARILO OARAOIALCOHILO. PARA OBTENER EL COMPUESTO ENFORMA DE ESTER, LA REACCION SE EFECTUA EN UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (II), EN QUE R ES UN GRUPO ALCOHILO, CICLOALCOHILO, ARALCOHILO O ARILO, Y EN PRESENCIA DE UN ACIDO QUE NO SEA ESTERIFICADO.
