PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION DE ACIDOS 5-SULFAMOILORTANILICOS DE FOMULA (I), EN QUE R ES ALCOHILO, ALQUENILO, CICLOALCOHILO O CICLOALCOHILALCOHILO, Y AR FENILO, TIENILO O FUNILO. SE BASA EN LA SAPONIFICACION DE UN ESTER DE FORMULA (II), SIENDO Z UN RADICAL AROMATIVO, EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO, CON UNA BASE INORGANICA COMO LEGA DE SOSA O DE POTASA. SE NEUTRALIZA LA SOLUCION DE SAPONIFICACION, A TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE, CON UN ACIDO MINERAL U ORGANICO. EL PRODUCTO CRISTALIZADO, EN FORMA DE SALES SODICAS O POTASICAS, SE RECOGE POR PRECIPITACION. SE LAVA CON UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO Y SE RECRISTALIZA EN ALCOHOLES ACUOSOS. SE USAN EN PREPARADOS FARMACEUTICOS COMO AGENTES SALIDIURETICOS.
