INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR DE VARIOS ESCALONES SUPERPUESTOS PARA EL TRATAMIENTO TERMICO DE MATERIAL DE GRANO FINO CON UNA CORRIENTE DE GAS CALIENTE QUE FLUYE DE ABAJO HACIA ARRIBA. LOS SEPARADORES (3, 4 Y 5) PRESENTAN SOBRE SUS RESPECTIVOS EMBUDOS SEPARADORES UNA PARTE SUPERIOR DE SECCION TRANSVERSAL CILINDRICA. EL TUBO DE ENTRADA DE GAS ESTA ACOPLADO TANGENCIALMENTE A LA PARTE SUPERIOR CILINDRICA DE LOS SEPARADORES DESVIADORES. LAS CONDUCCIONES (13, 12 Y 11) DE DESCARGA DE MATERIAL DE LOS DIVERSOS ESCALONES DE INTERCAMBIO DE CALOR DESEMBOCAN EN CADA CASO EN LA CONDUCCION DE GAS (7, 8 Y 9 RESPECTIVAMENTE) DEL ESCALON INMEDIATO INFERIOR DEL INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR.
