LA PREPARACION SE BASA EN LA ACCION DE UN ACRILATO, METALACRILATO O ETILACRILATO DE HIDROXIALQUILO, CON UN HALOGENURO DE FUROILO A TEMPERATURA ENTRE 0-40JC (5-20JC) EN PRESENCIA DE UN CATALIZADOR (AMINAS TERCIARIAS) QUE CAPTURA EL HIDRACIDO FORMADO Y UN DISOLVENTE COMUN DE LOS PRODUCTOS REACCIONANTES. LOS ESTERES INSATURADOS DEL ACIDO FUROICO DE FORMULA (I), SE UTILIZAN COMO MONOMEROS PARA LA PREPARACION DE POLIMEROS O COPOLIMEROS RETICULABLES PARA LA FABRICACION DE REVESTIMIENTOS.
