LA LINFOTOXINA, PRINCIPALMENTE LA BOVINA, SE PREPARA A) PROPORCIONANDO UN ACIDO NUCLEICO QUE CODIFICA LA LINFOTOXINA O PRELINFOTOXINA; B) PREPARANDO UN VECTOR REPLICABLE CON PROMOTOR PARA LA LINFOTOXINA; C) TRANSFORMANDO CON DICHO VECTOR UNA CELULA HOSPEDANTE, TIPO PROCARIOTICAS O ENCAROTICAS, COMO LAS LEVADURAS A LAS DE MAMIFERO NO HUMANAS; QUE SE CULTIVA Y D) EXTRAYENDO DE DICHO CULTIVO LA LINFOTOXINA. SE DESCRIBEN VARIANTES DE LA LINFOTOXINA, POR SUPRESION, SUSTITUCION O INSERCION DE UN GRUPO DE AMINOACIDOS EN POSICIONES ESPECIFICAS. SE PURIFICA EMPLEANDO UN NUEVO ANTICUERPO MONOCLONAL NEUTRALIZANTE DE LA LINFOTOXINA INMOVILIZADA. SE SUGIERE QUE LA LINFOTOXINA POSEE UNA ACTIVIDAD ANTITUMORAL POTENTE.
