Abstract

Messages on textiles, that only appear on treating with water, are produced by using two zones reacting differently to water, the first zone being formed by application of a water-soluble dye and/or an agent making the textile hydrophobic and a second zone by a water insoluble dye of the same characteristics as the former dye and/or an agent making the textile hydrophilic. Avoids use of paper supports of previous methods.
