Abstract
Dispositif destiné à assurer automatiquement l'étanchéité de l'arbre d'un appareil vis-à-vis d'un fluide gazeux. Il comporte un joint à bagues de carbone dont le boîtier est percé de deux canaux, un canal haute pression communiquant avec les bagues de l'extrémité intérieure du joint, et un canal basse pression communiquant avec la bague adjacente à l'extrémité extérieure de ce joint. Le canal haute pression envoie une partie du fluide qui fuit le long de l'arbre un éjecteur qui crée une dépression appliquée au canal basse pression. Application aux turbines à vapeur pour empêcher les fuites de se condenser dans les boîtiers des paliers.
