Abstract

Inducteur pour le chauffage par induction de la surface d'une pièce métallique en forme de corps de révolution de diamètre qui varie de façon graduelle et/ou abrupte. Il comprend un inducteur 1 composé d'un nombre pair, supérieur à deux, de branches inductrices 10, parallèle à la génératrice de la surface dudit corps 2, disposées symétriquement à l'axe de celui-ci, reliées en série ou en parallèle et munies d'un circuit magnétique feuilleté 11 composé de tôles 12 minces en forme de U chevauchant le conducteur sur une partie de sa longueur. Ledit corps étant chauffé en rotation continue, lesdites tôles sont disposées par paquets de façon sensiblement alternée sur les diverses branches. Cet inducteur est applicable au traitement thermique uniforme de la surface d'une pièce, notamment à la trempe de cette surface.
