Abstract
L'invention concerne l'industrie des poudres métalliques. Appareil pour l'atomisation par l'eau de métal fondu, comprenant une chambre étanche dans laquelle on introduit le métal fondu, des buses de passage de jets d'eau qui frappent le courant de métal fondu et l'atomisent, et un orifice de sortie du métal atomisé, l'orifice de sortie étant décalé vis-à-vis du trajet du métal atomisé au voisinage de l'orifice, et une surface de déflexion étant pourvue à l'intérieur de la chambre, qui détourne le métal atomisé vers l'orifice de sortie. On obtient des poudres de faible teneur en oxygène. Application à la métallurgie des poudres d'alliages riches en carbone.
