Abstract

L'invention concerne les compas gyroscopiques. Un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention utilise un élément gyroscopique pendulaire et flottant 107, 108 et 115 qui permet une détermination rapide du nord géographique. Un magnétomètre 133 assure un pointage approximatif sur le nord pendant la montée en vitesse du rotor de gyroscope 110, et ce pointage est ensuite affiné par étapes. Application aux compas gyroscopiques portatifs utilisés en topographie.
